The lenses have enhanced protection against scratches and are easier to keep cleaner than ordinary AR Coatings. SPECTRA-X coated lenses use the most advanced technology from 5 major companies to eliminate the performance issues of previous AR coating. Our lacquer with additional primers and unique formula has a MAR applied then in the state of the art CCS II pro and finished with an Everclean top coat. EverClean, the new super hydrophobic and oleophobic topcoat developed by Umicore Thin film products, exhibits superior properties and lifetime than standard hydrophobic coating materials: EverClean coated lenses are easy to clean since they repel liquids, smudge and dust. EverClean film maintains their good clean ability even after abrasion. Eyeglasses coated with EverClean are easy to handle because there is virtually no slippage during cutting and edging.
